Leslie “Les” David Smeach, '77, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA, Huron, OH, passed away Nov. 13, 2024. He was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School in Garrettsville, OH, then pursued higher education at ��������, obtaining a business administration degree. Les settled in Rootstown, OH, where he proudly served as township trustee and refereed high school football. He was an accomplished partner at Schlabig & Associates Ltd. Les enjoyed live music, traveling, fishing, boating and cheering on �������� sports teams. Kent was a place Les brought his children to, even convincing two of them to earn degrees there: Kimberly Williams, MA '04, CCC-SLP, and Danielle Smeach, '06. Les would continue to visit Kent frequently later in life as it was home.
