Where to use your personal elevator pitch:

Steps to crafting your pitch
1. Identify your goal: Job, investment, marketing, freelancing.
2. Explain what you do: Student, business owner, freelancer, employee.
3. Communicate your value proposition: Unique, problem-solving, differentiation.
4. Engage with a question or call to action: Job inquiry, current services, etc.
5. Put it together: Develop your story. Write it out and read it.
6. Practice: Time yourself, film yourself, and make adjustments. Make it second nature.
Tips:
● Be concise: 30-90 seconds.
● Be clear: Don’t use too many overly-technical terms.
● Tell a story: Explain the problem and who is affected by it.
● Audience: Tailor the pitch to the audience.
● Goal-oriented: What is your desired outcome?
● Have a hook: Get the listener’s attention.
● Watch for cues: Pay attention to your audience’s body lanuage to gauge their reaction.
