Attention Students: eSports (electronic sports) is a name given to competitive, multiplayer computer gaming with an added spectator and entertainment component. ¹ú²úÂ×Àí has a strong eSports program in the regional campus system and is bringing a competitive tournament to the Kent Campus this Spring.  Currently, most campuses are focusing on Overwatch and Hearthstone. A new collaborative study published by researchers at ¹ú²úÂ×Àí and Northeast Ohio Medical University provides evidence that thick layers, preserved in the teeth of beluga whales, may help determine their age.

You have likely seen one at an aquarium. It is the friendly creature with the oversized head that swims up to the glass with what looks like a smile on its face. Beluga whales are extremely social mammals that are often called sea canaries because of their high-pitched chatter, or melonheads for the enlarged and flexible area above their eyes that creates facial expressions.
