May 4 Commemoration Offers Many Virtual Events for Participation
Members of the ¹ú²úÂ×Àí community and people around the world will gather virtually for the 51st Commemoration of May 4, 1970, the day the Ohio National Guard fired on ¹ú²úÂ×Àí students during an anti-war protest, killing four and wounding nine others.
Virtual Events Promote Peace, Anti-Racism as ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Marks the Annual Commemoration of May 4, 1970
To honor and remember the events that occurred on May 4, 1970, virtual events and exhibits hosted by ¹ú²úÂ×Àí students, faculty and staff are scheduled from April 30 through May 4. The virtual events include several powerful speakers and events that promote peace and anti-racism and educate future students about the legacy of May 4, 1970.

The state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that ¹ú²úÂ×Àí has been awarded Choose Ohio First grants totaling $3.5 million to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
