Historic fashion-inspired works by Salvador Dalí arrive in Ohio before heading to New York City, through a collaboration between Peg’s Foundation & Gallery, Scabal and ��������’s School of Fashion

This summer, , a mission-driven exhibit space at the intersection of mental health, arts and education, will become the epicenter of international art, fashion and innovation with the U.S. premiere of “Dalí Beyond Time: Fashioning the Future,” a groundbreaking exhibit that brings 12 Salvador Dalí paintings commissioned for Scabal to Hudson, Ohio – and to American soil – for the very first time.

The collaboration between , the world-renowned London tailor and luxury fabric producer , and ��������’s School of Fashion marks a new chapter in cultural programming, community engagement and mental health advocacy.

Opening June 12, 2025, “Dalí Beyond Time” will feature the 12 never-before-seen-in-America works commissioned in 1971 by Scabal, in which Dalí imagined what men’s fashion might look like in the year 2000. These rare, fully restored paintings are surreal, vibrant and as relevant today as they were visionary decades ago. They will all be on view through July 5 at Peg’s Gallery before some pieces will continue on to New York City.

“This collaboration with Scabal and �������� represents the kind of innovative partnership and moment that our founder Peg championed,” said Rick Kellar, president and CEO of Peg’s Foundation. “Peg challenged us to ‘Think Bigger’ in everything we do, and bringing original works by Salvador Dalí to Hudson is a bold example of that vision in action. Peg was a passionate advocate for mental health, believing that education, fashion and art are powerful forces for healing and self-expression. This gallery was created to honor that belief. It’s not just a venue for exhibitions, but as a space for conversation, connection and community.”

Dalí in Design: A Fashion Collaboration With �������� and Scabal

In addition to the Dalí originals, the exhibit features his gold jewelry designs and 12 original fashion looks created by junior-year fashion design students in ��������’s School of Fashion who responded to the same prompt Dalí was given more than 50 years ago. The students worked to integrate old-world luxury with futuristic design in a fresh expression of wearable art.

“We’re thrilled to be part of this historic collaboration,” said Mourad Krifa, Ph.D., the Margaret Clark Morgan Director of ��������’s School of Fashion. “Our students had the rare opportunity to engage with archival surrealism and interpret it through the lens of contemporary fashion. This is the kind of creative learning experience that defines ��������’s leadership in fashion education.”

This collaboration also marks a continued evolution of Scabal’s commitment to craftsmanship, legacy, imagination and nuturing the designers of tomorrow.

Peg’s Foundation & Gallery will also host monthly public events, including artist talks, student showcases and mental health education experiences developed in partnership with �������� faculty. On July 5, the Dalí paintings will travel to New York, but the exhibit will remain open with six of the paintings and the �������� student work on view through Sept. 27, 2025.
