High school teachers play a vital role in expanding access to College Credit Plus (CCP) opportunities for students. 

Through 国产伦理鈥檚 faculty credentialing process, qualified teachers can offer college-level coursework directly in their high school classrooms鈥攂ringing the college experience to students in a familiar environment.

How do I Apply to Teach?

High school teachers interested in teaching College Credit Plus (CCP) courses through 国产伦理 must complete the. Each academic department reviews and approves applicants within their discipline to ensure alignment with university standards and course expectations. 

Application Process 

To apply, teachers must submit the through 国产伦理鈥檚 online system and provide the following materials: 

  • Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts 
  • Current r茅sum茅 or curriculum vitae (CV) 
  • Three letters of recommendation 

Once submitted, applications are reviewed by the appropriate 国产伦理 academic department. Additional information may be requested during the review process. 

What is Required to Teach? 

国产伦理 is committed to helping high school students experience high-quality, college-level learning. To support that goal, College Credit Plus (CCP) instructors must meet credentialing standards set by the State of Ohio and the university. Final approval is determined by the appropriate academic department. 

Credential Requirements

Credential Requirements 

To teach CCP courses, instructors must meet at least one of the following: 

  • Hold a master鈥檚 degree in the discipline, or 
  • Hold a master鈥檚 degree in another field plus at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline, or 
  • Have at least 9 graduate credit hours in the discipline and a plan to complete the remaining credits within three years 
Building Your Path to Credentialing

If you鈥檙e still working toward full credentialing, there may be a pathway to get there. Instructors who meet the 9-credit-hour option can be considered for approval with an appropriate plan that includes: 

  • A letter of support from your district superintendent 
  • A commitment from your district to help you complete your coursework 
  • Completion of all required graduate credits within three years 

Meeting the minimum 9-credit-hour threshold does not guarantee approval. Each application is reviewed by the appropriate academic department, which determines whether a candidate is eligible to teach based on discipline-specific standards and course needs. 

 

By the end of the three-year period, approved instructors must meet full credentialing requirements: a master鈥檚 degree in the discipline or a master鈥檚 degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline. 

A Collaborative Review Process

Each 国产伦理 academic department reviews applications carefully to ensure instructors are set up for success. Some departments may have additional expectations based on the subject area or course content.

Once approved, CCP instructors become part of an academic partnership with their corresponding 国产伦理 department. This collaboration helps ensure courses remain aligned with university expectations while giving instructors the tools and confidence to succeed in the classroom.

  • Access to approved syllabi, course materials, and learning outcomes 
  • Support with curriculum alignment and assessment expectations 
  • Opportunities to connect with department faculty and other CCP instructors 
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities regarding course updates, policies, and best practices 

Support may vary by department, but all instructors are connected to a 国产伦理 point of contact who can assist throughout the academic year.
