Teaching Fellowships
The English Department awards a number of Teaching Fellowships (TFs) to qualified applicants each academic year.
- Applications received by the priority deadline for the Fall semester (December 1st for international applicants; January 15th for domestic applicants) are automatically considered for a TF. No additional application materials are required. Please note that Spring applicants are not considered for TF positions. Prospective students seeking TF positions should apply for the Fall semester only.
- The TF carries a yearly stipend, a tuition waiver, and partial reimbursement of health insurance
- TFs are required to take a graduate course, ENG 61094, Introduction to Research in the Teaching of College Writing, the summer prior to their appointment. Tuition is waived, and a summer stipend is provided.
- Teaching Fellows are primarily assigned to teach in the first-year writing program, but advanced students may apply for other teaching and services assignments.
