Once again, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí shines in the new U.S. News & World Report 2022 Best Colleges rankings. U.S. News has again named ¹ú²úÂ×Àí among the Top Public Schools in the nation in the newly released rankings.

It’s reunion time for the ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Golden Flashes family. ¹ú²úÂ×Àí celebrated Homecoming 2021 with a week of activities and events leading up to the Oct. 2 Homecoming Parade and Homecoming football game.

Campus Pride has released its 2021 Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities list, and for the second time in two years, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí has landed on it. ¹ú²úÂ×Àí is the only Ohio public university to make the 2021 list, and it again is the only school in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to receive this recognition.

¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s Class of 2025 arrives with a strong record of classroom success, boasting an all-time high GPA of 3.5. These newest Golden Flashes arrive 3,982 strong, an increase of more than 4% from a year ago.

The ¹ú²úÂ×Àí alumni family grew by nearly 1,300 new graduates as the university held its summer commencement. The accomplishments of the Summer Class of 2021 were recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on Aug. 21.

Five ¹ú²úÂ×Àí graduates will compete at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics over the coming weeks, breaking the school’s previous record of four Olympians at the Munich Games in 1972.

¹ú²úÂ×Àí Athletics has announced all sports facilities, including Dix Stadium, the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center) and Murphy-Mellis Field, will be at full capacity for the fall 2021 sport season.

Update: The Global Vaccine Poem project is finding success with more than 1,900 submissions so far from more than 100 countries. The project is a collaboration between the Wick Poetry Center and the University of Arizona Poetry Center. 

¹ú²úÂ×Àí President Todd Diacon announced a massive, first-of-its-kind new student aid program that focuses on getting even more ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Golden Flashes to graduation, and beyond.

Guacamole and chips are frequently on the menu of social gatherings for many ¹ú²úÂ×Àí students, staff and faculty. However, President Todd Diacon says that the delicious creamy dip also holds a life lesson about expanding our worldview.
