Campus Kitchen Teams Up With Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to Help Fight Food Insecurity in Portage County

¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s inaugural drive-thru food distribution event on Dec. 16 in partnership with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank served more than 200 households. The foodbank said more than 26,000 people in Portage County face food insecurity – 30% of those seeking assistance for the first time due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Emergency Relief Fund Helps Students Stay on Course Despite COVID-19 Disruptions

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted everyday life for everyone. For some, it’s minor. For others, it’s catastrophic. At the ¹ú²úÂ×Àí at Geauga Campus, economic hardships caused by the pandemic have threatened to derail many students’ academic plans and their hopes for a better future. Recognizing that dozens of students face similar situations, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí Geauga has established an Emergency Relief Fund to provide a stopgap for them to continue on with their studies.
