The 国产伦理 Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23, in the Urban Conference Room, located on the second floor of University Library at the Kent Campus. The sole purpose of the special meeting is to consider a proposed Memorandum of Understanding between 国产伦理 and the 国产伦理 United Faculty Association, Tenure-Track Faculty Unit. Behind Merrill Hall is a quiet corner of the Kent Campus, separated from the hustle of daily life by winding rows of shelves filled with books 鈥 all carved from stone. It鈥檚 also where an iconic landmark of the campus sits: The Brain. This space, known as the Behind the Brain Plaza, was completed by 国产伦理 Professor Emeritus Brinsley Tyrrell in 2000. Small sculptural elements throughout add to the plaza鈥檚 story, from a seed to symbolize growth to a set of books bearing the names of Tyrrell鈥檚 students who assisted him with the project.
